Free WiFi gave me a chance to update my Pinterest boards. Plenty of space to show off my fabulous dance moves. Cooked up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen.
Thank goodness for the kitchen, because the dining area was about as cozy as dining with a herd of hippogriffs.

I had a fantastic stay at this cottage! The location is perfect, right across from the train station, making it ideal for train enthusiasts like myself. I loved being able to see the steam locomotives from the bedroom or lounge window without even stepping outside. Additionally, there are plenty of national trust and English heritage places nearby to visit, as well as the national bird of prey centre, which had brilliant fly past demos. Another great attraction in the area is the Eden camp military centre, which is a good day out for all ages.
Everything is what I need and want.

We had a fabulous stay at Hogwarts Cottage, which is conveniently located near the charming steam trains of Pickering. The cottage was exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds and a lovely scent upon arrival. The welcome pack provided was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and abundance of towels. Although there were some minor decor issues and parking restrictions, these did not detract from our overall positive experience. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others.

The cottage's location near a fishing area made for a serene and relaxing stay. As I cast my line into the tranquil waters, I felt as if I had my own private fishing retreat. It was like being a master angler in my own magical realm.
Cleaning of the cooker was subpar.

The location of the cottage was excellent, with Pickering Railway Station just across the road. This made it convenient for exploring nearby attractions such as the national bird of prey center and Eden Camp military center. the comfortable beds and clean fresh towels provided a pleasant stay.
The cleanliness of the cottage left much to be desired, with dirty crockery, cutlery, and glassware in the kitchen.

Hogwarts Cottage is a fantastic place for a family getaway, especially if you love fishing! The beautiful nearby river offers plenty of opportunities for casting a line and enjoying some quality time together. The kids had a blast trying their luck and we even managed to catch a few fish to cook up for dinner. It was a memorable experience that brought us closer as a family.
In my wife's opinion, it would have been great if there were more outdoor activities for the children. While the fishing was great, my children wanted to explore more and engage in different outdoor adventures.

We had an amazing stay at a charming cottage opposite the train station. The location was perfect for our steam locomotive adventure to Whitby. The property was clean, comfortable, and had great heating and hot water. The owner was helpful and even provided a welcome package with bread, milk, and biscuits.
Breakfast option could be improved with clearer cooker instructions.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely cottage in a great location. As a train enthusiast, I was delighted to find that I could watch steam locomotives from the comfort of the bedroom or lounge window. The convenience of being located opposite the Pickering Railway Station was perfect for my planned trips to Whitby. Additionally, there were several National Trust and English Heritage places nearby, along with a national bird of prey center and the Eden Camp military center, which made for excellent day trips.
While my stay was generally pleasant, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. I noticed some dings in the wall in the main bedroom around the window and inside the wardrobe nearest the window.

The welcome package was a nice touch, with milk, bread, and biscuits provided. the location was excellent, right opposite the railway station, making it convenient for our steam locomotive trip to Whitby. We enjoyed watching the steam locos from our window without having to step outside. the property also had good central heating, hot water, and comfortable beds.
The property decoration was dated and in need of some redecoration. We were disappointed that the promised welcome pack wasn't provided, as we had been told on the phone.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hogwarts Cottage and I absolutely loved the convenient location. It was so easy to explore the nearby shops, pubs, and take a ride on the steam trains. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the cottage itself was spacious, making it a very enjoyable stay. The welcome package provided for a self-catering experience was a nice touch, and being able to witness the steam locomotives from the bedroom or lounge window was truly a magical experience. The nearby National Trust and English Heritage places were also a great addition to the trip, as well as the National Bird of Prey Centre and Eden Camp Military Centre.
Although Hogwarts Cottage had its charm, there were a few aspects that could be improved upon. The decor was a bit dated and could benefit from a refresh.
